The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 39 out of 50 passed the Geologist Board Examination. The exam was given by the Board of Geology in Manila. It was held in August 2005.

The composition of the Philippine Board of Geology are chairman: Emmanuel V. Tamesis; members: Rudy C. Obial and Francisco A. Navarro.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Tuesday, August 23, 2005. Those who will register are required to bring the following:
a. duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
b. current Community Tax Certificate (cedula)
c. 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag)
d. 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete nametag)
e. 2 sets of metered documentary stamps
f. 1 short brown envelope with name and profession
g. Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2005-2008.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
