The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 822 out of 1,749 passed the Medical Technologist Board Examination. The exam was given by the Board of Medical Technology in Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao. It was held in September 2006. The result of examination with respect to one (1) examinee was withheld pending final determination of his liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.

The composition of the Philippine Board of Medical Technology are chairman: Dr. Marietta C. Baccay; members: Ms. Marilyn R. Atienza and Ms. Marian M. Tantingco.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 but not later than October 3, 2006. Those who will register are required to bring the following:
a. duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
b. current Community Tax Certificate (cedula)
c. 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag)
d. 1 piece 1" x 1" picture (colored with white background and complete nametag)
e. 2 sets of metered documentary stamps
f. 1 short brown envelope with name and profession
g. Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2006-2009.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
