Philippine PRC Licensure
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 9 out of 16 passed the Mining Engineer Board Examination. It was held in August 2004. The licensure exam was given by the Board of Mining Engineering in Manila.
The composition of the Philippine Board of Mining Engineering are chairman: Cornelio Q. Casido; member: Rufino B. Bomasang.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Tuesday, August 17, 2004. Those who will register are required to bring the following:
a. duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
b. current Community Tax Certificate (cedula)
c. 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag)
d. 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete nametag)
e. 2 sets of metered documentary stamps
f. 1 short brown envelope with name and profession
g. Initial Registration Fee of P400 and Annual Registration Fee of P300 for 2004-2007
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The oathtaking ceremony will be held before the Board on Friday, August 27, 2004 at 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the Legend Hotel, Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong City, Philippines.
Registration for membership with the Philippine Society of Mining Engineers (PSEM) will take place after registration as a professional with the Board and the Commission.
